Saptha Swara Institute of Performing Arts, an Indian dance school in Lucan, Dublin is organizing a charity fundraiser for cancer patients with their official inauguration ceremony on 3rd April 2022. This dance school, which had started in 2018, had postponed its official inauguration due to the pandemic.

The inauguration ceremony, which will be held at the Dublin Scientology Community Center, Tallaght on Sunday, will be inaugurated by the Honorable Indian Ambassador to Ireland, Akhilesh Mishra. Chitra Lakshmi, choreographer, and founder of Dhakshina UK will also be one of the chief guests at this function. The inauguration ceremony will be followed by music and dance organized by the students of Saptha Swara Institute of Performing Arts under the guidance of Saptha.

Saptha Swara Institute of Performing Arts

Saptha is the founder and main teacher of Saptha Swara Institute of Performing Arts. Starting this dance school at 18 years of age, she has achieved innumerable awards. She is the bronze medal winner of the 2017 Gaisce, Irish President’s award. She has also won the first prize in folk dance while representing Ireland in the 2015 World Dance Federation International Dance Competition, which had seen the participation of 32 countries and 1500 participants.

While the entry for this function is free for all, the institute has organized various raffle tickets to be purchased with prizes worth 250€. Irish delegates from the Mater Public Hospital will also be attending the inaugural function.

All the money collected will be contributed to Mater public hospital to purchase a head-cooling machine, which will bring a lot of comfort for cancer patients.

Unique And Beautiful Idea

The cancer patients undergoing treatment suffer a lot of agony during chemotherapy. The head cooling machine, which costs around 10K euros, would go a long way in giving comfort to these people.

The organizers of this event wanted to do something unique which would inspire future generations as well to contribute towards society. That is when they decided to organize a charity fundraiser for cancer patients of the Mater Public Hospital with the inauguration function.

Thus the beautiful tagline ‘Compassion through Arts’, expressing the kindness in people who want to contribute to society and doing it through Arts.

The inauguration ceremony of Saptha Swara Institute of Performing Arts will be held at the Dublin Scientology Community Center, Tallaght on Sunday 3rd April 2022 at 3:30 pm.
