Thai restaurant OHO opens two Dublin locations, creating 35 jobs

A Thai restaurant chain that has experienced tremendous success in Northern Ireland has expanded to Dublin.

OHO, which already has locations in Omagh, Banbridge, Downpatrick, and Newry, has added two more this week in Ranelagh and Blackrock.

The takeaway chain, which is renowned for its emphasis on serving only the freshest and most genuine Thai food, has added 35 new jobs to its new Dublin locations.

Brian Monaghan, the company’s founder, and Group Head Chef Ole Sothorn founded OHO in 2020. They make a point of making “authentic dishes with traditional methods for an unrivalled Thai food experience.”

In the upcoming weeks, both of its new branches will also offer a selection of fine wines from around the world for sale. For customers who are more concerned with their health, OHO’s menus include calorie counts.

Brian Monaghan, Founder of OHO, said “While I’m a Banbridge native, I’ve spent much of my adult life in Dublin so I’m delighted to announce OHO’s move to Ranelagh and Blackrock whilst employing 35 people.

Ole’s passion and knowledge of Thai food is unrivalled and this comes across in OHO’s offering. Having kicked things off in 2020 during the pandemic, we are so grateful for the support of our loyal customers who have backed us throughout and thanks to them we are in a position to expand beyond our home turf, bringing a taste of authentic Bangkok to Blackrock!”
