Dublin pub fined €1,000 for playing loud music at late nights

A pub in Dublin has been fined €1,000 for playing loud music late at night. The Oasis Bar Ltd. operates under the name Sin É was should also pay a sum of €2,600 in legal costs after the case was taken to court.

The neighbours made complaints to the Dublin City Council against the pub for playing loud music and making nuisance late at night even at 2 in the morning. The case was then taken to the Dublin District Court and the complaints were found true during an inspection to the pub. The noise increased by three decibels when music was played, it was found. Bands were also playing at late nights.

Judge Anthony Halpin ordered the bar to pay €1,000 fine and prosecution costs of €2,658 within next two months.
