Egg-throwing mobs have been targeting innocent walkers in the north inner city.An Indian man issued an urgent warning after a gang of youths threw eggs at him and his friend in the city center.
He says ” Today something happened with me which never happened in the past 3 years. Me and my girlfriend were walking towards Spire from Talbot street and on the opposite side around 7:15pm there were approximately 15-20 kids in a group (age range 12-18). All of a sudden we noticed that they started throwing eggs on us and also on the other people who were walking ahead of us. They tried almost 4-5 egg shots on us, luckily all were missed and we managed to escape. Now I’m really thinking if you’d be alone, how you will deal with such a nuisance act. And, I’m wondering what would have happened if I’d have been crossing them from the same path. Since we’re quite away that’s why they missed the shot.”
Recently GARDAI fined a group of 10 friends in Ireland who broke lock down restrictions to meet up for a spot of “egg throwing” in Wexford.
