The first baby of 2022 in Ireland was born at just one second past midnight on New Year’s Day. The baby girl was born at the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin to parents Selina and Nathan Burke
The baby weighs 6lbs 6oz and both the daughter and mother are doing well, said the dad Nathan.
The name for the baby is not yet decided, he said.
