All children aged 5-11 can register for Covid vaccine from Monday: HSE

All children between the age of five and 11 can register for their Covid vaccines from January 3rd Monday, the HSE has confirmed. Parents and guardians can register their children of this age cohort using the child’s name, date of birth, PPS number, parent’s mobile number, email id and Eircode.

After registration, you will get a text message with the details of the appointment.

Parental consent is must for vaccination for the children and this can be done online or in person. The vaccine will be given only through mass vaccination centres.

Two doses of Pfizer vaccine will be administered in a lower dose to children. The time gap between two doses is three weeks.

The vaccine registration for children with underling conditions had been opened last week and the inculcation had been started at hospitals.
