Man dies after collision involving truck and two cars in Meath

A truck and two cars were involved in a three-vehicle collision on Thursday in Co. Meath, which caused the death of a man.

Garda and emergency services were alerted to a three-vehicle traffic collision at Bective, Trim, involving a truck and two cars, at around 10.20 am. A man in his 20s who was one of the cars’ drivers has been declared dead.

His remains have been taken to the mortuary in Navan, where a postmortem examination will be performed. To allow forensic collision investigators to conduct a technical examination, the road was shut down.

An appeal has been made to anyone who may have seen this collision to contact the investigating garda. Those who were on the R161 Navan to Trim Road between 10 and 10.20 am and have camera footage, including dashcam footage, are also urged to make it available to authorities.
