Nua Healthcare, a provider of services for people with mental illness and intellectual disabilities, plans to create 470 jobs nationwide.
The company, which offers residential, supported living, day, and community outreach services to children and adults with a variety of complex requirements, said the additional positions are being created in response to a rise in demand for services in the field.

Since the beginning of March, the company has hired 300 individuals.
The jobs are in general nursing, psychiatric nursing, psychiatrists, psychologists, behavioural and occupational therapists.
Additionally, the company is recruiting assistant support workers and social care workers.
“The healthcare industry is incredibly rewarding, and we take great pride in making a positive difference to the lives of the people we support” said Shane Kenny, Chief Operating Officer for Nua Healthcare.
“We also believe a core reason for success stems from the approach of continually training and developing staff teams,” he continued.
“We are especially looking for people who may want to change their current career path and who believe they have compatible skills born out of relevant life experience which will ultimately enable them to be successful in healthcare services,” he added.
