Grifols, a pharmaceutical company, is expanding its operations in Dublin with the opening of a new specialty unit and the creation of up to 200 jobs.
Grifols has over 300 employees at its worldwide production and supply base in Dublin. It intends to increase the number of employees at the facility to roughly 500 over the next two years.
It will employ entry-level and specialist positions in manufacturing, logistics, and packaging. QC microbiologist, validation engineer, manufacturing filling process technician, and maintenance automation engineer are now offered in Dublin.
Grifols is a multinational Spanish pharmaceutical company that specialises in plasma-derived medications. The firm formally unveiled its new albumin purification and filling unit at its current Dublin site on October 19.
“This new magnificent Dublin manufacturing facility, which incorporates Grifols’ industry-leading engineering, is indicative of this company’s commitment to investing in essential plasma-medicine infrastructure globally to treat more patients around the world,” said Víctor Grifols Deu and Raimon Grifols, Grifols’ co-CEOs.
Grifols launched operations in Ireland in 2012 and has since invested over €300 million in its Dublin hub. It invested €90 million on the Grange Castle facility in 2015, generating 140 jobs.

It’s further proof of Ireland’s role as a major biopharmaceutical and international trade hub, with a highly talented workforce available.”
In addition to the Dublin facility, the company has four more manufacturing facilities for essential plasma medicines in Barcelona, North Carolina, California, and Germany.
