Unemployment rate fell to 3.9 per cent in February, down from 4 per cent a month ago, according to latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

On an annual basis, the unemployment rate has decreased from a revised 4.2 per cent in February 2024.
The data shows that the jobless rate for men stood at 3.8 per cent, declining from 4 per cent in both January and the same month last year.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate for women dropped to 3.9 per cent, down from 4 per cent in January 2025 and 4.3 per cent in February 2024.
Youth unemployment also saw an improvement, decreasing to 11.3 per cent in February from a revised 11.8 per cent in January.
The CSO reported that the seasonally adjusted number of unemployed individuals stood at 111,500 in February, compared to 115,700 in January 2025.
