Women who resisted mandatory quarantine after UAE plastic surgery trip granted bail with conditions

Two women have been charged for resisting to stay in mandatory quarantine for 14 days. They came from UAE after cosmetic surgery purposes. They had been presented before the Tallaght district court.

Kirstie McGrath (30) Nimah Mulreany (25) are the people charged for resisting the quarantine. They pleaded for bail through their solicitor Michael French citing humanitarian grounds.

The judge has set personal bond of €800 and independent surety of €2000 as bail conditions. The women should reside at a quarantine hotel for 14 days unless they are Covid negative within 10 days.

Gardai got the information from the State Liaison officer on refusal of quarantine by the two women. Garda inspector Luke Lacey opined that they cannot be granted bail because of their failure to cope with travel regulations which are mandatory.

The hearing of the case will resume on 9th April at Dublin District Court.
