Young Indian-origin prodigy shines in Irish exam and arts

In a remarkable display of academic excellence and artistic talent, Grace Maria Jose, a young Indian-origin student in Ireland, has achieved outstanding success in her Junior Cert exams. The daughter of Benny Jose and Vincy Benny from Lucan, Grace secured distinctions in 9 out of 10 subjects, with a higher merit in the Irish Language.

Grace’s achievements extend far beyond the classroom. A multifaceted talent, she has been studying Carnatic music for nine years under the guidance of Mangala Teacher at the Mangala School of Carnatic Music. Her artistic pursuits also include Bharatanatyam, which she learned from Figi Savio and Saptha Raman Namboothiri.

The young prodigy has also mastered the keyboard, completing five grades under the tutelage of Mr. Binu K.P. Her musical talents have earned her numerous accolades, including first prizes in several all-Ireland music competitions. Grace has shared stages with renowned playback singers from Kerala.

  • Fr Abel Memorial Award at the International Keli Kalamela in Switzerland
