A 24-year-old Irish man has died in a hit-and-run in Vancouver, Canada.
Police in Vancouver have appealed for information after the incident on Arbutus St in the city at around 11.30 pm on Sunday.
It is understood the man was crossing the road with a friend at about 11.30 pm on Sunday when he was struck by a car that was being driven at high speed.
Vancouver Police Department the vehicle “appeared to be travelling at high speeds”.
The man died at the scene and the driver of the car failed to stop.
Canadian police are appealing for anyone with information or who has video recorded in the area on Sunday night to contact them.
