Following a complaint regarding a lady acting threateningly at a home on Clare Street, Garda arrived and tasered and detained a woman in Limerick city yesterday.

Last night at 11.15 p.m., when they arrived, uniformed Garda met with a guy who had sustained minor arm injuries.

A lady who stayed inside the house was acting threateningly and had access to knives.

Along with the woman, there was another male in the house.

The Garda Armed Support Unit then joined and assisted the unarmed uniformed Garda.

The woman was arrested for violating the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act of 1990 after a taser was used.

She is now being held at a Limerick Garda Station in accordance with Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act of 1984.

Paramedics on the site provided both males with minor injuries with medical care.
