1,845 new Covid cases in Ireland today; Vaccination rate doubled as HSE campaign aims unvaccinated people to get inoculation

Further 1,845 Covid patients have been reported today in Ireland, the Health Department said.

As of Monday morning, there were 497 patients in hospitals with the disease, including 99 in intensive care units.

Meanwhile the HSE’s new campaign to urge unvaccinated people to get inoculation is progressing as the vaccination number doubled since last week. According to the report the daily vaccination rate in the state has been increased to 2,000 which was 800-1000 last week.

There were reports that most of the Covid patients being admitted in the hospital ICU are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated. Health experts had also warned the government about the threat the unvaccinated people cause themselves and to others.

The HSE are continuing campaign and urge people to get vaccinated. They took Twitter handle and warned people, ‘If you’ve missed your second dose, you’re more at risk of serious illness.’
