Amazon to open its first ‘fulfillment’ warehouse in Ireland by spring of 2022. The warehouse will be in Baldonnell Business Park, Dublin and will be the second logistics centre of Amazon in the country.
Following the start of operation, high speed delivery can be expected from the warehouse, usually within a day inside the country. It will also have delivery across Europe and will create 500 permanent jobs.
According to The Journal, recruitments to various posts like engineers, HR and IT professionals, health and safety specialists, finance specialists and operations managers have been started already.
Almost 4,000 people are currently work for Amazon in Ireland and last year the company had announced it would create another 1,000 permanent jobs over the next two years.
