Health minister Stephen Donelly had changed his plan to vaccinate the youth ahead of elder citizens. It was reported yesterday that the health minister is considering a change in vaccine priority list which gives more preference to youth aged 18 to 30.

The media has asked him whether a change in vaccination priority list and the answer was a straight “no”.
The National Immunisation Advisory Committee had plans to prioritise younger people in vaccination only if the vaccinations show a significant decrease in transmission. The minister had admitted that no data support this move.
