The Hugh Lane Gallery is delighted to announce an exciting two day family art event on Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August 2021, which will take place on Parnell Square North.
‘Art and the Outdoors’ is inspired by artists who moved out of their studio to paint en plein air or out of doors. This family-friendly programme includes artist-led outdoor drawing, street performance by the Dublin Circus Project, live music performances from jazz to string quartet and traditional music and poetry readings programmed in conjunction with Poetry Ireland.
This initiative is part of a wider programme led by the Office of City Recovery. The Hugh Lane Gallery’s ‘Art and the Outdoors’ celebration will be launched on Saturday 31 July at noon by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alison Gilliland.
This two day event will take place on the August Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August from noon to 4pm each day.
