Partial service operating as engineers work to restore full network

Luas Green and Red Line services have been significantly disrupted since this morning following a power outage affecting both tram lines.
Green Line services are currently operating only on the Sandyford to Brides Glen route, with no service available on the Sandyford to Broombridge section.
Red Line services are limited to the Tallaght/Saggart to Smithfield route, while services on the Smithfield to The Point/Connolly section remain disrupted.
Authorities have announced that Luas tickets can be used on Dublin Bus services during the disruption to help passengers complete their journeys.
A Luas spokesperson said engineers are working to restore full services and apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers. No estimated time for full service restoration has been provided.
The power outage adds to transport disruption in Dublin, with the capital already experiencing challenges from Storm Bram’s impacts on flight services, ferry operations and road conditions across the city.
Commuters are advised to allow extra time for journeys, check for service updates before traveling, and consider alternative transport options where possible.
