Desi artists in Dublin celebrate with an art exhibition, Rang 2023 held at Park Community Centre in Dublin
Rang 2023
Rang 2023, an exhibition of artworks by artists of Indian origin in Ireland was organized by the Dublin Desi Artists Collective (DDAC). In addition to the exhibition, there were henna artists, caricature artists, food stalls, and so much more.
The collective is run by Vidya, Ankita, and Malvika and focuses on promoting Indian artists in Ireland.
RANG 2023 was celebrated on 1st April from 11 am to 5 pm at Park Community Centre in Dublin. Artists from different corners of Ireland joined the art exhibition. There were live art demonstrations – Charcoal Portrait by artist Vidya Vivek, watercolor painting by Sarika Jadhav, and landscape in Acrylics by Pragya Sharma. Artists were well appreciated by visitors and almost all of the artists had a sale or more.
There were food stalls consisting of all the street food of India which was also another attraction of the day.

To honor the event there were esteemed guests including Deputy Mayor Joanna Tuffy, Cllr Lyn, Ms. Reeti Mishra – spouse of Indian Ambassador, John Lahart, TD, and representatives from local communities. They were immensely impressed with the artwork and enthusiasm all around.
The DDAC had conducted a few online art contests and Deputy Mayor Joanna Tuffy gave the awards and certificates to the winners.
It was overall a brilliant experience for everyone and the DDAC team is looking forward to hosting another event very soon.
Dublin Desi Artists Collective
DDAC is a non-profit group formed by Vidya, Ankita, and Malvika, artists of Indian origin, in Ireland.
The DDAC has organized several successful exhibitions and contests since its formation, to showcase the talents of artists from the Indian diaspora. They have also done exhibitions in collaboration with Irish artists and artists from other countries as part of the ideology which is ‘Let’s Flourish Together ‘.
