A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in Dublin. The woman’s body was found at an apartment in Finglas, this morning.
The woman in her 30s is believed to be a Brazilian national. She was found dead at an apartment in Charlestown area where the Gardai were notified around 6.15am.
According to the sources the woman has suffered extensive head and neck injuries. A post-mortem is due to take place shortly.
The man, who is also aged in his 30s, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Sources have said that the gardaí believe the victim knew her attacker.
He is currently detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
