In partnership with Recycle IT, Jithin Ram, the Green Party candidate for Lucan, is leading a community initiative to tackle electrical waste.
Lucan residents are invited to participate in free electrical waste collection events organized by Jithin Ram, the Green Party candidate for Lucan. In collaboration with Recycle IT, these events aim to promote sustainable practices by providing a convenient and eco-friendly way to dispose of electronic items.
Event Details:
- Wednesday, 28th February – 9:30 am
- Location: Shackleton
- Tuesday, 5th March – 9:30 am
- Locations: Shackleton Phase 2 & Hallwell
- Wednesday, 6th March – 9:30 am
- Locations: Paddocks & Gandon Park
What to Do:
- Residents are requested to leave household electronic items on the pavement outside their homes before 9:30 am on the morning of the collection day.
- Ensure the items are clearly visible from the street.
- Only household items are accepted; no commercial equipment.
- Acceptable items include fridges, freezers, microwaves, toasters, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, coffee machines, small appliances, electrical heaters, electric blankets, kettles, irons, computers, printers, scanners, modems, and laminators.
Missed Collection: In the event that items are missed on the collection day, residents are advised not to panic. They can call (01) 4578321 within one day, and Recycle IT will arrange for the items to be collected.
