Following a lorry and pedestrian incident on the road in Co. Cork, a woman has passed away.
On Monday at about 3.45 pm, a collision happened on Main Street in Charleville.
The woman, who was in her 70s, was declared dead on the spot. No other injuries were reported, according to the Garda.
The road was closed as an examination of the scene took place, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses of the collision to come forward.
Any road users who have camera (including dash-cam) footage and were travelling in the Main Street area of Charleville between 3.30pm and 4pm are asked to make it available to gardaí.
